本校透過完善的教師聘任與升等制度,以及設立跨領域學程,積極推動並支持跨學科研究,為教師提供良好的職涯發展環境。根據《國立陽明交通大學教師聘任及升等審查辦法》,教師的聘任與升等需具備重要研究成果或專門著作,且需經過嚴格的審查程序,雖然該辦法未明確指出對跨學科研究的特定認可,但學校設有多項獎勵補助辦法,也逐步將「跨領域研究(Interdisciplinary Research)」納入學術評鑑與升等考量,以鼓勵教師進行跨學科合作與創新研究,並提升研究與教學品質。

本校透過教育部高等教育深耕計畫及校內自籌經費,建構全方位的跨領域研究支持體系。2023至2025年間,總計核定 80 案「教師增能計畫」與 96 件「新進基礎培育支持方案」,精準挹注資源於新進及中生代教師之學術起步。透過實質的專案資助,本校不僅驅動教研人員跨越學科藩籬,更將跨領域協作轉化為學術生涯晉升的實質動能。此舉顯著提升了跨領域研究的參與意願,並深化產學合作關係,為校內學術創新與技術研發奠定深厚根基。

Our university actively supports interdisciplinary research through its faculty appointment and promotion system, dedicated programs, and strategic funding. While its official promotion regulations primarily emphasize significant research achievements or specialized publications, interdisciplinary research is increasingly being recognized through evolving evaluation criteria and incentive programs. Key initiatives include (1) Incorporating interdisciplinary work into promotion assessments and (2) Funding support from the Higher Education Sprout Project and internal resources. These measures foster an environment that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, enhances academic performance, and strengthens ties between academia and industry.

 Promotion System for Interdisciplinary Research

The university actively promotes and supports interdisciplinary research through a structured faculty appointment and promotion system, as well as the establishment of interdisciplinary programs, fostering an environment conducive to faculty career development.

According to the “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Faculty Appointment and Promotion Review Regulations,” faculty appointment and promotion require significant research achievements or specialized publications, evaluated through a rigorous review process. While the regulations do not explicitly recognize interdisciplinary research, the university has implemented incentive and subsidy programs and has progressively incorporated interdisciplinary research considerations into academic evaluations and promotion criteria. These efforts encourage faculty to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research, enhancing both academic research and teaching quality.

Through the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project and internal university funds, our university has established a comprehensive interdisciplinary research support system. From 2023 to 2025, a total of 80 “Faculty Capacity Enhancement Programs” and 96 “New Faculty Research Support Programs” have been approved, precisely allocating resources to support the academic development of new and mid-career faculty members. Through substantial project funding, our university not only encourages faculty and researchers to transcend disciplinary boundaries but also transforms interdisciplinary collaboration into real momentum for academic career advancement. This initiative has significantly increased participation in interdisciplinary research, deepened industry-academia collaboration, and laid a solid foundation for academic innovation and technological development within the university.
